It looks like the magazine was describing the skills rather than giving the exact stats. I sure hope these are real, Ride the Lightning is going to be a lot of fun for meleemancers.

Flesh Golem

So is my understadning that MM's can already make about 30 minions very fast. But now they dont even have to maintain some of then cause they die, giving free soul reaping and then oooh theres a new corpse, i could use that!

MM's bringing their own corpses? THATS CRAZY TALK!

Well, to be fair, MMs can't create 30 minions out of nothing...

Necros are like an avalanche, they start slow, and then get more and more powerful.

Of course, in PvP, MM havea much harder time than in PvE. Flesh Golem will help out.

"Coward!" will knock down targets running away from the Warrior. Which is seriously broken as hell given what else a Warrior can do. "Coward!", Wild Blow, chicken's done. Warriors won't even have to work for a living anymore >_<.

"Coward!" is half the reason the Assassin's Viper's Defense/Heart of Shadows skills have a good chance of being very useful. Traditional hit-the-speed-stance-and-bolt kiting is going to die an abrupt and painful death with "Coward!", thus the random-teleport-before-one-bolts kiting is born.

One hopes, anyways. There has to be some way to escape the bloody things >_<

Are you sure? I just assumed it did more damage. ("Dirt Nap" usually means someone is dead. If the Shout just knocked someone down, they probably would have said "knocked down").

In any case, I guess it's pretty stupid to get in arguments over what these skills could possible do, as there is no real information here, just general ideas that could change by the time Factions is released anyway!

'Dirt Nap'. A nap in the dirt. Thus, Knockdown. I do get your point, but if it just did a little damage, then there's no real reason for it to exist. Unless it does too much damage, in which case it'll get nerfed.

Still...there's is Bull's Charge to think about. "Coward!" would be superior to it in most every way and non-Elite to boot. Perhaps I'm reading it wrong myself.

In my experience, the phrase "dirt nap" has allways meant death. Like you said, "A nap in the dirt"... which typically takes place about six feet from the ground's surface.

Anyways, this list is a nice little tidbit that I had been trying to find again for some time. I can't wait to see the full list of new skills.

Most likely its recharge will be longer then the time it lasts, much like incinerary arrows.

I'm pretty sure you're right about "Coward!" being a knockdown skill. I remember reading somewhere that Gaile said Warriors would most likely carry "Coward!" over Gale. Think that pretty much covers that.

too bad it sounds like alot of the new mesmer and necro skills are way too conditional to find common use in PvP

Necros have some great elites, but not necessarily as a great fit for MMs. Flesh golem sounds -- er, "yummy" doesn't seem like the right sort of word ...

More mass enchantment removal. Ugh. Why don't they just put an "Elementalists keep out" sign over the arenas?

Cool, Elementials get a metallica album! *Edit* and an old beatemup game!

I really hope "Retreat" makes the characters spam "Run away! Run away" and "Keep running!"

Unfortunate side effect, I bet. Counters are needed for monk mass enchanting, one way or another.

Ride The Lightning was one of the best albums ever. Hopefully we get a Master of Puppets skill next chapter.
